As one of our auxilery tasks we are going to produce a band website. Above are some fansites we have looked at when deciding on how to go about it. We have learned that the aesthetic of the website is heavily influenced by the genre and type of music which the band produces. So when we were analysing Taylor Swifts fan site we noticed considerable differences compared to Slipknots. There seemed to be an increased emphsis onb Taylor herself with large photos of her face in a soft focus this creates a certain feeling around her and also reflects on the type of music that she produces. There is also obdviouse differences in the uses of color. Taylors page had a soft light color whilst Slipknot and Enter Shikari had used much darker and duller coloring this also is a reflection on the types of music which these different bands produce. Will will be using this information to strongly influence our own decisions when producing our own web page as we know to taylor the aesthetic to suit the type of music we will be presenting.
